What are the pool sand filter parts?

A pool sand filter is a type of water filtration system that uses sand to remove impurities from the water. It is a very effective and popular type of filtration system, but it does require some maintenance. One of the most important parts of maintaining your pool sand filter is understanding the different parts and how they work together. In this blog post, we will take a look at the different parts of a pool sand filter and how they work to keep your swimming pool clean and safe.

What are the pool sand filter parts?

There are three main parts to a pool sand filter: the filter tank, the multi-port valve, and the sand. The filter tank is where the water enters the filter and is usually made of fiberglass or polyethylene. The multi-port valve controls the flow of water through the filter and allows you to backwash the filter. The sand is what actually filters the water and needs to be replaced every few years.

The Different pool sand filter parts

A pool sand filter is made up of several different parts, each of which plays an important role in keeping your pool clean and free of debris.

The filter tank is the largest part of a pool sand filter and houses the sand that does the actual filtering. The tank is typically made of fiberglass or plastic and has a series of laterals inside that help to distribute the water evenly over the sand.

Thesand itself is the second most important part of a pool sand filter and acts as the main filtration media. The size and type of sand you use will depend on the size and type of pool you have, as well as your personal preferences.

The pump is responsible for circulating the water through the filter and back into the pool. It must be powerful enough to move the entire volume of water in your pool at least once per hour.

The multi-port valve is perhaps the most important part of a pool sand filter, as it controls the flow of water through the system. It has several different positions that determine how much water flows through the filter and how often it is cleaned.

The Pool Pump

There are three main parts to a pool sand filter: the filter tank, the multi-port valve, and the pump. The filter tank is where the filtering process takes place. The multi-port valve controls the flow of water through the filter and allows you to backwash the filter when necessary. The pump circulates water through the filter and back into the pool.

The Pool Sand Filter

The pool sand filter is one of the most important parts of your pool. It is responsible for filtering out the dirt and debris from your pool water. Without a properly working sand filter, your pool water would be dirty and unusable.

There are three main parts to a pool sand filter: the tank, the media, and the valve. The tank is where the filtration process takes place. It is filled with sand, which acts as the filter media. The valve controls the flow of water through the filter and allows you to backwash the system when needed.

The Pool Drain

The pool sand filter parts are the heart of the filtration system. The filter tank is made of durable polyethylene and is filled with specially graded sand. The tank has a multiport valve that controls the flow of water through the filter. The valve has six different positions: backwash, filter, waste, closed, recirculate, and winterize. The pump circulates water from the pool through the filter and back again.

The Pool Skimmer

A pool skimmer is a device that is used to remove debris from the surface of a pool. It consists of a float that is attached to a pole, and a net that is attached to the float. The skimmer is placed in the pool so that the float is on the surface of the water. The net is then lowered into the water and used to scoop up debris.

The Pool Chemical Feeder

The pool sand filter parts are the tank, the sand, the lateral assembly, the collectio n basin, and the drainage system. The tank is made of fiberglass or polyethylene and is designed to hold the sand. The sand is a specially graded silica sand that traps particles as water passes through it. The lateral assembly consists of perforated pipes that allow water to flow through the sand. Thecollection basin collects debris that is trapped by thesand. The drainage system removes water from thefilter so that it can be recirculated back into the pool.

Conclusion

There are a lot of different pool sand filter parts that you need to be aware of in order to keep your pool's filtration system running smoothly. The most important part is the filter media, which is what actually traps the dirt and debris from the water. Other important parts include the laterals, which help distribute water evenly through the media, and the valve, which controls the flow of water through the system. By familiarizing yourself with these parts and their functions, you can better maintain your pool and ensure that it stays clean and clear all season long.

After about 5~10days ,or when the reading of the pressure gauge on the pump side of the filter has increased by about 0.2bars since the last backwash , backwash the filter as follows:
1. Stop the pump
2.Close the valves on the suction and return lines.
3.Open the cover of the pump and empty the filter gasket .
4.Refit the cover
5.Open the valve to the drain outlet
6.Turn the lever to BACKWASH
7. Open the valves to the suction and return lines.
8.Start the pump .Rinse the filter for about 1 to 2 minutes until the water in the sight glass is clear .
NOTE : Any electric heater must be off .
9. Stop the pump
10. Turn the lever to RINSE , start the pump and rinse for about 15~30 seconds. Stop the pump and turn the lever to FILTER . This is the normal operating position .
11. Close the drain outlet valve and start the pump . Switch on the electric heater if any .
---Poolking has a professional Quality Control team to guarantee each product is 100% inspected before packing. For example when the filter inner tank comes out, they will make a first water testing before bobbin wounding. After installation all the connections or manhole & sightglass, they will make the second water testing. During the packing procedure, QC team will inspect all the details like wounding, neck, internal resin and so on to make sure no leaking and without flaw.
